At this year’s Chinaplas in Guangzhou Haitian International presents the latest models of the second machine generations of “Zhafir” and “Haitian”: The new Haitian Jupiter II Series and the currently largest available all-electric model of the Venus II Series with 5,500 kN. The bestselling Mars II Series is showcasing an application with Micro Foaming Technology and the innovative Mercury Series produces a medical part.
All-electric solution up to 5,500 kN
The launch of the new all-electric Venus II Series was enhanced by 4 more clamping sizes. 3,000 kN, 3,600 kN, 4,500 kN and 5,500 kN. The optimized clamp for the new models provides larger tie bar space and therefore more opportunities to use larger molds.
The optimized injection unit delivers 20% better acceleration. The enhanced software functions fulfill the requirements for ergonomic and highly sophisticated usability. More dynamic and shorter dry cycle times can be achieved with the improved kinematics of the toggle system. A much more compact machine design offers a lot of space for power packs and auxiliaries. And last but not least, the swiveling injection unit and ejector rapid release coupling provide easier accessibility and easier maintenance. The auto centralized lubrication system is optimized to improve the efficiency and dramatically reduce costs. At Chinaplas Zhafir is showcasing for the first time a Venus II with 5,500 kN clamping force – the largest model in the successful all-electric range of Zhafir.
On top of this, from the high tech new all-electric Mercury Series, a machine with 100 tons clamping force will be exhibited producing a 32-cavity needle hub mold.
New Generation of Haitian’s two-platen solution
The Jupiter Series made significant steps forward. Updates in the clamp design will satisfy customer needs, especially for larger tonnage applications. „With this series we expect a lot of nice projects in future. We worked very hard to upgrade the Jupiter to address project requirements of the main players“, says Mr. Fu Nanhong, Chief Engineer and Head of R&D for Haitian International. The parallel lock nut operation ensures fast and accurate response. Four short stroke mold break cylinders for a precise mold height control with closed loop position feedback ensures the mold is clamped with parallel movement. The dry cycle time was shortened dramatically, and technologies proven in the Mars Series are now standard. New servo drive motors with 75 kW and 110 kW provide higher response and a simplified hydraulic system. With this energy saving drive concept, the oil consumption can be reduced by more than 30%. At Chinaplas a Jupiter II Series with 12,000 kN clamping force will produce a automotive middle console.
Bestseller Haitian Mars II Series
Since its Introduction, the energy-saving Mars Series has sold more than 73,000 units. This makes Haitian the global leader for servo-hydraulic injection molding machines. The second generation ”Mars” has been developed in line with the requirements of customers and their requirements. The result: highly optimized servo-hydraulic Mars-Technology, with improved efficiency for lower energy consumption. A redesigned clamping unit lowers platen stress and improves mold force stability, reducing mold wear and improving molded product stability. Equipped with the latest control technology from KEBA, the Mars Series fulfills all requirements for the higher standard injection molding applications.
MCF-Technology by Haitian International
Trexel and Haitian International signed a cooperation agreement for common development of the MCF Technology. The Haitian Group is authorized to offer the “Mucell light” in China, Vietnam, India, Brazil, Turkey and South Africa. Micro Cellular Foaming (MCF) is a common development of Trexel USA and Haitian as licensed by Trexel. It is based on the controlled use of gas during the injection molding cycle to create many micron-sized closed voids inside the plastic part. This reduces the part weight up to 12% and the clamping force 30% to 80%. While maintaining the original mechanical properties, it improves the product quality while reducing the manufacturing cost as much as 50%. At Chinaplas a Mars II with 2,500 kN produces a 1-cavity box with MCF-technology.
